The shores of Rarity Club rest along Lake Nickajack, which features 10,370 acres of water surface and 179 miles of shoreline. Nickajack is the sixth step in the TVA stairway of reservoirs and locks that carry barges up and down the Tennessee River. The Nickajack Dam was completed in 1967 and the total generating capacity of Nickajack is 104,000 kilowatts of electricity.
